Ziziphus rugosa is a species of plant in the Rhamnaceae family. It is a tree found on hills and mountains below 1 400 m altitude in China (Hainan, Yunnan), India, Laos, Burma, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam.
Its bark and wood are used medicinally for dysentery in Laos.
